Viper (VPR) is a fast-paced melee DPS that alternates between fast dual wield attacks and heavy hitting twinblade attacks. Its core gameplay revolves around the classic builder-spender playstyle, building gauge with its dual wield and twinblade attacks and spending that gauge on a powerful burst window called Reawaken. VPR joins the Melee DPS roster as a Scouting class, and therefore shares gear with Ninja.
Steel Maw and Reaving Maw potency increased from 120 to 140.
Hunter’s Bite and Swiftskin’s Bite potency increased from 130 to 180.
Jagged Maw and Bloodied Maw potency increased from 160 to 220.
Last Lash potency increased from 100 to 120.
Vicepit potency increased from 220 to 250.
Hunter’s Den and Swiftskin’s Den increased from 280 to 300.
Reawaken, 1-4th Generation, 1-4th Legacy, Ouroboros, Uncoiled Fury, Uncoiled Twinfang, and Uncoiled Twinblood do 15% less damage after the first target compared to last patch. (Reawaken sequence falloff adjusted from 65% to 80% less damage after the first target, Uncoiled Fury and its follow ups adjusted from 60% to 75% less damage after the first target.
Overall these adjustments equate to about an 8.4% nerf to two target DPS and a 7.9% nerf in 3+ target AoE DPS. Single target DPS remains unchanged.
